‌ Anti-sulfur safety valve ‌

 is a kind of safety valve specially designed for resisting sulfide corrosion, widely used in the medium environment containing H2S and SO2 sulfide, such as natural gas, oil and gas pipelines and systems, as overpressure protection device. The main feature of the anti-sulfur safety valve is that its valve body and internal parts are treated with anti-sulfur treatment, usually made of anti-sulfur steel, to ensure long-term stable operation in the sulfide environment ‌

The working principle and structural characteristics of anti-sulfur safety valve

When the pressure in the equipment or pipeline exceeds the set value, the anti-sulfur safety valve automatically opens to release the overpressure medium and prevent the equipment or pipeline from being damaged due to excessive pressure. When the pressure is reduced to a safe level, the safety valve automatically closes and continues to protect the system. Sulfur relief valves usually have the following structural features:

‌ spring full open design ‌ : simple structure, good sealing performance, accurate opening pressure, strong discharge capacity, small return pressure difference, convenient adjustment ‌

‌ nozzle type valve seat ‌ : the valve seat is nozzle type design, the steam flowing through the valve seat reaches the speed of sound, the discharge coefficient is large, the sealing surface wear resistance and erosion resistance, long life ‌

‌ thermoelastic valve disc ‌ : the design of the valve disc is thermoelastic structure. The small deformation under medium pressure is used to improve the sealing capacity and overcome the forward leakage ‌

‌ adjusting nut and back pressure adjusting sleeve ‌ : adjust the spring compression by adjusting nut to ensure the valve to obtain accurate setting pressure; The back pressure adjusting sleeve is used to adjust the disc back pressure to obtain the appropriate return differential pressure ‌

Application scenario

Sulfur relief valve is mainly used in the following scenarios:

‌ Natural gas, petroleum, gas and other pipelines and systems containing H2S and SO2 medium ‌ : these media are easy to corrode equipment at high temperature and high pressure. The sulfur resistant safety valve can effectively prevent system failure caused by corrosion ‌

‌ refinery ‌ : Crude oil often contains sulfide, which will cause serious corrosion to equipment under high temperature and pressure. The anti-sulfur safety valve can work stably in such an environment for a long time to ensure the safe operation of the system ‌
