Product Introduction:

Pilot operated safety valve is a new type of safety valve composed of main valve and pilot valve. The pilot valve responds to the medium pressure of the system to control the on-off action of the main valve.

How it works:

When the system is working normally and the pilot type safety valve is closed, the system pressure is transmitted to the dome air chamber on the top of the main valve disc through the inlet pressure pipe, the pilot valve and the gas chamber pressure pipe, which creates a downward net force on the main valve disc and makes the main valve in the closed state. When the system pressure reaches the setting pressure, the pilot valve opens and the sliding shuttle closes the pilot valve intake channel, and the pressure of the main valve air chamber is discharged and relieved through the pilot valve. Since the system pressure is higher than the return pressure, the sliding shuttle closes the intake channel, thus blocking the flow of fluid in the pilot valve. At this time, the pressure of the main valve air chamber drops sharply, the main valve valve flap is fully opened, and the fluid is released and depressurized through the main valve. When the system pressure is reduced to a certain value, the spring force of the pilot valve overcomes the force of the valve inlet pressure on the slide shuttle, the pilot valve returns to the seat, the ejector rod pushes the slide shuttle, and finally the fluid re-enters the dome air chamber of the main valve and closes the main valve.

Structural features:

Scope of application:

Pilot operated safety valves are particularly suitable for applications with high back pressure, large flow, high pressure and compact installation locations. Pilot type safety valve is mainly used in oil and gas, chemical, electric power, metallurgy and urban gas and other fields, is the best overpressure protection device for pressure equipment, containers or pipelines
