‌ Impulse Safety Valve ‌, also known as pilot operated or combined safety valve, is mainly used in power station boilers, pressure vessels, temperature and pressure reduction devices and other equipment to prevent the pressure in the equipment from exceeding the maximum allowable pressure value, to ensure the safe operation of the equipment ‌

Working principle

The impulse type safety valve consists of two parts: the main valve and the auxiliary valve. The auxiliary valve is a set of heavy weight lever or spring loading mechanism, when the pressure in the equipment exceeds the specified value, the auxiliary valve acts first, but does not directly exhaust, but through the auxiliary valve to the main valve a pulse action, drive the main valve action pressure relief. This design enables flexible valve operation, small opening and closing delay and tight closing ‌

Structural characteristics
