The flat gate valve is a sliding valve with a parallel gate closure. The closing member can be a single ram or a double ram with a splitting mechanism.
The pressing force of the gate to the valve seat is controlled by the medium pressure acting on the floating gate or the floating valve seat. The valve seat is sealed by the ○ sealing ring (DN≥200 with spring) and the floating valve seat structure applying the tightening force, so that the valve inlet and outlet can be sealed in both directions. And the opening and closing torque of the structure is only 1/2 of the ordinary valve, which can easily open and close the valve. The advantage of flat gate valve is small flow resistance. Flat gate valves can be applied to media with suspended particles.
