The empty discharge check valve is installed on the outlet pipe of the high pressure feed pump of the thermal power unit to prevent the backflow of the water supply and protect the feed pump. The valve works with the automatic recirculation valve. When the feed pump is under low load or the outlet stop door is closed, the automatic recirculation bypass valve should be in the open position to ensure the safe operation of the pump. When the air discharge check valve is opened, the recirculation bypass valve automatically closes.

In the sewage treatment system, the empty discharge check valve is widely used to prevent the backflow or counterflow of wastewater and ensure the normal operation of various treatment units (such as settling tanks, regulating tanks, etc.) and equipment. In the tap water system, the empty discharge check valve is used to prevent the backflow of the water source to protect the safety of the water quality. When the water pressure changes or the water supply is interrupted, it can effectively prevent the phenomenon of after-flow or overflow to ensure the normal supply of tap water. Empty discharge check valves are widely used in petroleum and chemical industry.
