Structural characteristics of axial flow check valve

Working principle of axial flow check valve


The opening and closing of the disc is determined by the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the valve. When the inlet pressure is greater than the sum of the outlet pressure and the spring force, the disc opens. As long as there is a pressure difference, the disc is always open, but the opening degree is determined by the size of the pressure difference. When the sum of the outlet pressure and spring force is greater than the inlet pressure, the disc is closed and remains closed. Since the opening and closing of the valve disc is in a dynamic force balance system, the valve runs smoothly, without noise, and the phenomenon of water hammer is greatly reduced.


If the fluid flow pressure cannot support the valve at a large opening degree and maintain a stable opening position, the disc and associated moving parts may be in a state of continuous vibration. In order to avoid premature wear, noise or vibration of moving parts, the diameter of the check valve should be selected according to the fluid state.


The light weight of the disc of the axial-flow check valve can reduce the friction on the guide surface and return to the seat quickly. The small mass low inertia disc passes through a short stroke and contacts the seat surface with minimal impact force. This reduces damage to the sealing surface of the seat and prevents leakage of the seat.


The axial flow check valve closes quickly, without impact, and the disc with small mass and low inertia contacts the seat surface with a short stroke and minimal impact force, which can keep the sealing surface of the seat in good condition and avoid damage. More importantly, it can minimize the formation of pressure fluctuations and ensure system safety.


In addition to the function of the general check valve, the axial flow check valve is also designed with shock-absorbing spring, and its hard seal with soft seal combined valve seat sealing structure has the effect of noise reduction and shock absorption, which is easy for users to maintain on site. The unique axial flow spindle structure has the advantages of small flow resistance, large flow coefficient, small size, etc., which is the optimal valve for the oil and gas gathering pipe network system, especially the outlet of the oil pump. It is suitable for pipeline systems such as oil, gas, water slurry and acidic corrosive media containing H2S+CO2 to control the countercurrent use of media.
