One-piece ball valve and flange gate valve are the same type of valve, the difference is that its closing part is a ball, the ball rotates around the center line of the valve body to achieve the opening and closing of a valve. Ball valves are mainly used to cut off, distribute and change the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline.
Working principle
The working principle of one-piece ball valve is simple and efficient. When it is necessary to open, simply turn the handwheel counterclockwise, and the stem will move in reverse, separating the ball from the seat. The lift of the stem then interacts with the guide pin in the spiral groove to push the ball to rotate frictionless until it reaches the full open position. The closing process is reversed, turning the handwheel clockwise, lowering the stem and causing the ball to start rotating. As the handwheel continues to rotate, the stem and ball will rotate simultaneously by 90° until the ball is tightly pressed against the seat, achieving a complete seal.
(3) Structural characteristics
One-piece ball valves have many unique structural features. First of all, the opening and closing process is frictionless, which effectively solves the problem that the traditional valve is affected by the friction of the sealing surface. Secondly, the mounted structure allows the valve to be inspected and repaired directly online, reducing the device parking time and reducing costs. In addition, the single seat design eliminates the risk of abnormal pressure boost in the valve cavity, ensuring safe use. The low torque design allows the specially constructed stem to be easily opened and closed with a small handle. At the same time, the wedge sealing structure and the sealing surface self-cleaning structure together ensure the reliable sealing performance of the valve under various working conditions.

One-piece ball valve has the advantages of low fluid resistance, simple structure, small size, light weight and so on. Its fluid resistance coefficient is comparable to that of a pipe segment of the same length, making fluid flow smoother. The compact structure and light weight further save space and resources.
At present, the sealing surface material of the ball valve is widely used in plastic, which has excellent sealing performance, and even has been widely used in vacuum systems.
The operation is convenient, and the opening and closing of the ball valve only need to rotate 90° to achieve rapid switching, which is very suitable for remote control.
Maintenance is simple, its compact structure, especially the design of the seal ring makes disassembly and replacement a breeze.
In the fully open or fully closed state, the sealing surface of the ball and the seat is completely isolated from the medium, effectively preventing the medium from eroding the sealing surface.
